This Privacy Policy explains what data bzic-tools.com ("we", "us") collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over your data.

1. Data we collect

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the site. GA4 collects:

  • Pages visited and navigation paths
  • Events triggered by tools (e.g. button clicks, conversions)
  • Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Session duration and engagement metrics

Data is transmitted to Google LLC servers and processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Google may process this data in the United States and other countries.

GlitchTip (error monitoring)

We use a self-hosted instance of GlitchTip (an open-source alternative to Sentry) for error monitoring. When a JavaScript error occurs in your browser, GlitchTip may collect:

  • Error message and stack trace
  • Browser type and version
  • URL of the page where the error occurred
  • Timestamp of the event

This data is stored on our own server and is used solely to detect and fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is intentionally collected. Error reports are not shared with third parties.

2. Legal basis for processing

We process data based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding site usage and maintaining service quality. For users in the EU/UK/EEA, we aim to minimise data collection and do not use data for profiling or advertising.

Note: we are evaluating consent management (cookie banner) to fully comply with ePrivacy requirements. Until that is in place, analytics and error tracking are active by default.

3. Data retention

  • Google Analytics: event data is retained for 14 months (GA4 default). Aggregated reports may be retained longer.
  • GlitchTip: error events are retained for 90 days, then deleted automatically.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Data processed by Google Analytics is subject to Google's data processing terms. GlitchTip data stays on our own servers and is not shared with third parties.

5. Your rights

If you are located in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at tibode495@gmail.com. Because analytics data is not linked to individual identities, we may be unable to retrieve or delete specific records.

6. Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions. GlitchTip does not set cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Children's privacy

bzic-tools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
